SHORT FILM FUND

Each year, Snow Story Productions will dedicate up to $100,000 to production of short-form content with the goal of discovering unique voices.

What we’re looking for?

Content that adds to the Snow Story brand

Your short film should help us branch out into new territory — be it a new genre, format, or even a distinctive new visual or writing style. We’re not looking to do the same thing over and over. If your short film is similar to content we’ve already done, it’s likely not a good fit for us.

Bold new voices

By producing your short film, we’re not just investing in it, we’re also investing in you. As such, wewant to know about you. What separates you from your peers? How will you leverage this shortfilm to further your own ambitions — and what are those ambitions? Where are you going, andhow can Snow Story help you get there? What could you add to the Snow Story Family?

The potential for more

We want to help you create a stepping stone to a bigger project. Any short form content we produce should have the potential to be developed into a larger project. Maybe it’s a feature. Maybe it’s a series. But what it shouldn’t be is a solitary endeavor with no potential to grow into something bigger.

How to apply?

Send an email toAustin@SnowStoryProductions.com with the subject line: “SNOWMAN SHORT FILM FUND.”
In your email, please give us a short explanation of your project and briefly tell us about yourself and your experience. Feel free to include things like your website or reel. We’ll get back to you as quick as we can to schedule a zoom call for you to pitch your project!

For your pitch, please be prepared to explain how your project meets each of the criteria that we’re looking for. Please share any additional elements you think will help articulate why your short film is a perfect fit for the Snowman Short Film Fund like:

- Storyboards
- Budget Breakdown
- Video References
Or anything else you think will help us to see your vision.

Be aware that the $100,000 fund could be applied to a single large budget short film or multiple smaller budget ones. If your project has a smaller budget, it maybe more appealing to us because it allows us to fund other shorts as well. That said, don’t be afraid to share an awesome project with us if it costs a lot. If it really wows us, it may be worth forgoing on other shorts this year.
